The River Basin Management Plan, under the Water Framework Directive (2000/60/EC), was drawn up in 2009 for the Northern Appennines River Basin District . Both the drafting and updating of the plan, which is based on a six years planning cycle, imply a close cooperation with local Authorities and stakeholders.
The Arno River Basin Authority has been entitled to draft the Flood Management Plan for the Arno UoM in accordance with Flood Directve (2007/60/EC).
The above mentioned activities need to be carried out in an European context taking into consideration the Common Implementation Strategy set out at European level for knowldedge sharing. Therefore participation to international activities and cooperation with our European partners are of the highest importance.
